How did you come to triathlon and what sporting past do you have?
I have been sporty since my childhood days, thanks to my parents who always supported all our interests.
Started with gymnastics, horse riding and tennis, but found my passion in ballet & dancing for over one decade. The Ironman myth has fascinated me since my childhood days as we always spectated our home race „Ironman Austria“ since the beginning with my parents. In 2013 I started to devote myself to endurance sports (initially just running). In 2016, after several half marathons and the Vienna City Marathon, I started triathlon and did my first 70.3 race.
Since than a whole lot of races mainly over the middle distance have followed.
What do you particularly like about the sport?
Triathlon pushes you to overcome challenges that are not just physical in nature. Mental strength is a huge part as well and all these abilities learned through the sport can aid you in your daily life.
The social side of the sport is what makes it more of a lifestyle and social. The club environment allows lifelong friendships to be formed through a mutual love for swim, bike and run.
What do you do besides sport (job, family, ..)?
I own a social media agency and I’m also responsible for all social media relations of the team.
In my private life I’m in the fortunate position to go through life and transition zones together with my partner, what makes this even more special.
