How did you come to triathlon and what sporting past do you have?
I was competing in a race for my friend whose boss wanted all of his employees to compete in triathlons with him. My girlfriend asked me if I would take her seat. That’s how I got into triathlon with an old, broken 10-speed bike. I had a pretty good time and my girlfriend is now my wife. So, in the end, everything was perfect! I’ve always enjoyed swimming and cycling, so it was a good fit.
What do you particularly like about the sport?
I love the training and the competitive spirit of the races.
